As of June 27, 1989, it is the policy of the Notre Dame School Advisory Council that generally no student be admitted into eighth grade at Notre Dame who is transferring from another school in the Shenango Valley unless approved by the administration.

As of June 1991, no late admissions will be permitted in grades 6, 7, 8 for students transferring from a local school district after the first day of   school.  This policy does NOT apply to families moving into the area.

NOTRE DAME CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

Beginning with the 1991-92 school year, a Notre Dame Certification Program was instituted for families registered as Notre Dame Parishioners.

In order for a family to qualify for the Parish discount tuition rate, the family must adhere to a three-step certification program consisting of:

1.                   Regular attendance at Sunday Mass

2.                   Expected weekly contributions to Notre Dame Church of

At least  $10.00

3.                   Involvement in the Parish or School as a volunteer

It is not the School’s Advisory Council’s intention to penalize or create hardships for any family.  No child of a Notre Dame Parishioner will be denied a Catholic education because of inability to pay.  In the event that this policy will create a personal hardship for a family, the parent is encouraged to contact the Pastor or the Principal for an appointment to discuss the circumstances.  All such meetings are strictly confidential.

Parish families who send their children to Notre Dame are expected to be actively involved in both the Church and school.    Parishioners will continue to receive the discount tuition  (parishioner rate) in exchange for a  “contribution of time, treasure, and talent”.
