A neat and attractive appearance contributes greatly to the general good.  Cleanliness of person and the clothing are required at all times.  Students must conform to the Notre Dame dress code.  Uniforms must be obtained through Flynn & O’Hara Uniform Company.

 

                Fall Uniforms:  First day of school to October 31

                Spring Uniforms:  Tuesday after Easter to last day of school

 

                Boys Uniforms Grades K-8

                Slacks                     navy or green

                                                absolutely no oversized pants (legs and length).  Slacks are worn

                                                with waistband around the waist.

                Shorts                    navy or green

                Shirts                      yellow knit or oxford cloth (long or short sleeves)

                                                yellow turtle neck

                Sweater                  cardigan, v-neck, or crew neck in green, navy, yellow

                Socks                     green, navy, yellow, white

                Belts                       must be worn with slacks and shorts

                Shoes                     appropriate dress shoes must be worn

                                                athletic shoes, sandals, clogs, boots, large track soles are not

                                                permitted

 

                Girls Uniform (Grades K-4)

                Jumper                   navy plaid (length to the knee)

                Shorts                    navy or green walking shorts (length to the knee)

                Slacks                     navy or green

                Shirts                      yellow blouse with Peter Pan collar (long or short sleeves)

                                                yellow knit  (three button)

                                                yellow turtle neck

                                                yellow oxford cloth

                                                must be tucked in at all times

                Sweater                  v-neck, crew neck, or cardigan in green, navy or yellow

                Socks                     knee socks in navy, green or yellow

                                                anklets-green, navy, yellow or white

                Belts                       must be worn with shorts and slacks

                Girls Uniform Grades 5-8

                Kilt                          navy plaid (length to the knee)

                                                shirts must be tucked into kilts, slacks, or shorts

                                                sandals, clogs, athletic shoes, boots are not permitted

 

                Winter Uniform (November 1 to Easter)

                No shorts are to be worn at this time.  Girls may wear tights under the jumper or

                kilt.  Colors may be green, navy, or yellow.

 

                General Information for Boys and Girls

                Boys hair length should not extend over the shirt collar or into the eyes.

                Boys may not wear earrings.

                Body altering of any type is not permitted (tattoos, body piercing).

                Girls may wear one small stud earring per ear.

                No make-up permitted on girls in grades K-5.

                Grades 6, 7, 8…Girls may wear light make-up.

                Girls are permitted to wear light, pastel nail polish.

                On specific days when students are permitted to “dress up or down” they are

                expected to wear regular casual or dress up clothing in a neat and well-groomed

                manner.

                *Because of the constant changing nature of fashion, the school reserves the right

                to classify any style of dress as inappropriate.

               

                Gym Uniform

 

                Grades K-4

                Navy blue gym suit (navy jogging pants/navy sweatshirt with gold logo)

                Gym sneakers must be worn.

                On warm/hot days, students may wear tennis shoes with their uniform shorts.

 

                Grades 5-8

                Navy blue shorts and a gold tee shirt trimmed in blue, with athletic shoes
